The NDIS gives people choice and control over their supports. It is designed to help people with daily living tasks, improve their skills and build independence.

What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian government program that provides funding to people with permanent and significant disabilities. Its purpose is to give participants greater choice, control, and independence by supporting them to access the services, equipment, and supports they need to live their best life.
The NDIS provides funding for a wide range of supports, including personal care, community access, therapy, accommodation, capacity building, assistive technology, and more — all tailored to each person’s goals and needs.
Through the NDIS, participants can choose their own providers and build a support team that helps them work towards greater independence, social connection, and improved quality of life.
